The space
Named after the father of wildlife ecology, Aldo Leopold, and the mother of Mississippi’s wildlife conservation agency, Fannye Cook, these tiny cabins are perfect for a peaceful stay. The interior decorating is kept simple to bring a sense of calm and peace to your stay.
The kitchenettes include a restaurant grade hot plate, an air fryer, a microwave, and an electric skillet. There is a grill (shared with one other cabin) out the door. Propane is provided.
The sleeping space has two twin beds that can be made into a king bed. The sofa is a comfortable sleeping space but we do ask that you cover the sofa with sheets if you plan on sleeping there.
The second loft is accessible by a pull-out ladder and is great for reading and meditating.
Guest access
The cabins are on 15 acres with the property owner’s residence and a family cabin. There are trees that are great for hanging a hammock and dock access.
A few things to know: our property is on a septic system. There are instructions on how to use the plumbing properly to keep it functioning during your stay and for the next guests. We are also on a well. The well water is treated lightly and run through a carbon filter, so no water bottles are necessary.
The tiny cabins have stairs into the cabins as well as stairs to the sleeping loft. River access is down a wooden flight of stairs.
