The space
This cabin is named in honor of the environmental activist and author, Rachel Carson. Guests have said they feel like they are in the mountains when they stay here. The deep, screened-in porch has plenty of comfortable furniture for relaxing with a view of the river. The interior design is clean and simple to complement the peaceful atmosphere.
Guest access
This cabin is located down our private gated-driveway. It is set away from the other buildings on the property for privacy. Guests are welcome to bring their own kayaks and canoes to launch off the dock or tie their boat up. Outside your cabin is a small fire pit. Make yourself at home.
Other things to note
To promote great sleeping, outdoor lighting is minimal. We provide flashlights, but packing an extra is smart. The cabin is on a septic system, and there are plenty of instructions on how to keep everything running smoothly. Our property is also on well water.
